Slope Recommendations:

• 1:12 Slope (4.8") Works for most strong unassisted manual chair users
• 2:12 Slope(9.5") For Portable ramp use by occupied chairs and scooters with assistant.
• 3:12 Slope(14.5") For loading unoccupied chairs and scooters.

 

 

In this example, a 5-foot Suitcase® ramp is shown
with a two step rise of 12-inches. When looking
at the chart, this indicates an 11.5 degree rise.

 

 

 

Use the Incline Chart to determine the proper ramp length.
IMPORTANT: Refer to your equipment’s User Guide for exact
recommendations concerning acceptable usage and incline/
decline.
• Determine incline your wheelchair or scooter is
designed to climb.
• Measure the distance from the top step or landing to
the ground (RISE).
• Refer to Incline Chart for the proper ramp length.
• At any incline, use ramp only with a qualified helper.
